Power, performance and lots of celebrities.

The report.

2 July 2017
Breathtaking automotive designs, awesome power and plenty of celebrities in the cockpits: everyone was delighted with the first Schloss Bensberg Supersports Classics. And even the steady rain on Saturday didn’t spoil the atmosphere. After the event, drivers, guests and visitors all agreed that it was a worthy successor to the world-famous Schloss Bensberg Classics, held every year since 2009.

Classics meet new supercars
The concept of showing brand-new, exclusive supercars alongside the large field of high-calibre classic sports cars was particularly successful. The unique combination of iconic vehicles from the past and future delivered some great images. And acoustically, the cars’ appearance was also spectacular, with the rumble and roar of engines sending shivers down the spine.

Celebrity starters: the rallyOn Saturday, 1 July, around 90 classic and contemporary sports cars took part in a rally through the Bergisches Land involving numerous time trials and regularity sections. The line-up included a Ferrari F40, a Porsche 959, a rare Mercedes C111 and a DeLorean DMC-12, the cult car from Back to the Future. The future of supercar construction was represented by vehicles including an Audi R8 V10, a Bentley Continental GT Supersports and a Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster. Richy Müller, famous as a TV detective, drove a Porsche 911 GT3 with 500 h.p.
